Custom Surly Crosscheck (from my foxcycle blog)

I just finished building this bad chicken for a guy from Mendota Heights. It's pretty sweet, I laced the wheels up last weekend (Surly 1x1 hubs, Velocity deep-v's, dt revs). It's got Miche track cranks, king headset, syntace bars, and some other sweet parts.

Sweet little bike. How'd you like putting the nipples into the eyelets on those Deep V's? :)

Cool rims though, and they come in a plethora of colors.

Lol, it was terrible. I wound up threading a spoke on the other side of the nipples to set them. I lost a whole bunch in the rims though. What sucks is that back one was a little out of round from the factory, and its pretty tough to take a vertical hop out of a deep v.

Meh, it's no Kona.

Save yourself some frustration on the Deep V's next time, or any wheel, and get the problem solvers holy driver. Well worth the money.

I'll have to look into that, I was trying to use my trusty bicycle research nipple driver and it didn't work worth a shit with those deep v's. The angle of the holes combined with the depth sucked.
