Oh snap, uh, what up

I was so traumatized by seeing my bad haircut on the internets, that I had to take a hiatus from the web. But now i'm back, and I will live up to my obligatory blog duties. The wedding is less than two months away, and I'm thinking it might not be a good idea anymore. To be fair to every one involved, it needs to be put a vote, so we're going to have a good old fashioned poll.

Yes: Get married
No: Don't get married

I will tally the results and get back to Sara with the results. And......Go.

If everyone knows what's good for them, you know how to vote.

I would have to say YES, even without Sara's persuasion.

I vote no just to spite Sara ;)

But really I think you should bite the bullet like the rest of us and join the club. It's not that bad, really :)

Can some of you experienced in the marriage scene give me some pros and cons to help with the decision?

Misery loves company. We just got a fatty tax return...there's companionship/love all that stuff too, but mostly for taxes. We got a yogurt maker for a wedding gift too, so we have that going for us.

Taxes...hmm. I didn't really think about that one. The yogurt maker sounds nice too, I've been underestimating the value of wedding gifts as well.

No. Do not get married.

You actually lose money on your tax return once you're married. Besides, even if you got a good tax return, Sara would blow it on smack and Chippendale's in the first weekend.

Don't get all excited about wedding gifts either. Who the hell needs 4 woks?

I wish Sara had been more conclusive with telling us how to vote. Hhhmm, the line "What is good for us and we would know how to vote"?

I would tell you yes. You have found someone who can put up with you, it hides your love with Brandon at TRSP, taxes and combined income are a wash, however you may get to use some of the combined income for toys "for the both of us", you might be able to take the list you posted awhile ago and make it work. That list would be a real challenge.

You seem like a nice enough guy so sure, go ahead and marry my sis...but you treat her nice. I say that not because you should fear me, you should fear her.

I'm confused: your initial comment says the wedding might not be a good idea, but your follow-up is asking for marriage advice. That's a totally different topic. (Don't you have a master's in communication or something?)
