Movin on up

Or staying in exactly the same spot I guess. Not much is new here, I've been trying to get back into playing again. Its tough when you're not playing 2 or 3 gigs a week, the chops just kind of dissapear. So I've been making an effort to play a few hours a week to (slowly) try and get them back. I"m going to be back in GF over the 4th, so I hope to get a chance to see some of you guys (i.e. Machos new baby that I have managed to not see somehow thus far). We're trying to find Nute and Tonya a old VW van to make sweet love in (among other things I suppose). We've found a couple of sweet candidates thus far. I'll get some pics if they wind up getting it. No luck acquiring the Heritage just yet, I've blown a couple of sweet chances but I'll keep holding out. Its not something that I *really* need. Or need at all for that matter. Sara has to work a couple days while I'm there, so I've got some free time to do some detailing/polishing if anyone is interested. I know Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon I should have plenty of time for a full exterior polish.

Our new roomate is the loudest person in existence. He's a good guy but walks pretty flat footed so he's always banging around. I'm not real sure who taught him how to close doors, cupboards or drawers either. Oh well, its less we have to pay I guess. So I hope all is well in your worldz, keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down.

BTW - Snakes on a Plan.

You know you need it

Hey everyone. I've decided to put my '74 Gibson ES-325 up for sale. Don't worry, I'm not giving up on playing or anything, but I found a sweet deal on a Heritage that I've been eyeing for a few years and selling the old girl wil make buying it a little easier. I'll try to put up some pics in the next few days but those of you who used to come to the gigs probably remember it. Its the Walnut Gibson, same body as a 335 that I had routed for a pair of Seymour Duncun '59 humbuckers. Its in real good shape, and has really nice, low, fast action and is set up with Daddario 11's currently. I know a couple of you expressed interest in it a while back. I know its worth somewhere in the $1300-1500 range but if any of my friends decided they wanted it I would sell it for right around $1000-1100. Let me know if you're interested (Lenertz?) Peace.

Have you ever had....

A moment when you realized you were totally gay? I had one today actually. It happened when I was walking down the hall, carrying a blackberry in one hand, a diet coke with lime in the other, wearing a baby blue polo shirt and having a conversation about how many carbs a burrito had in it. I literally stopped and had to shake myself out of it. The person I was with was like "WTF are you doing?" as I was standing there in bewilderment. So I stripped naked, poured the diet coke all over meinself and ran down the hallway screaming and punching all the people I passed. All true. Except the naked running punching thing. I think I need to go put on a wifebeater, drink some Pabst and cut down a tree or somthing to regain some of my dignity.

We need your help

Well, I know I promised fun office pranks but Sara and I need your help. As you know I moved to Minneapolis for a good job, and Sara is still living in our house in GF. She has an externship in Bismarck beginning in December. We let our landlords know that she is moving in December to make sure it would be alright to extend our lease until then. Our landlords are very nice people but elderly (and they live in Northwood) so it is next to impossible for them to show units during the winter. So they found someone to move in to our place in August. This puts Sara in a very bad situation, trying to find a place to live for a few months before she has to move to Bismarck, not to mention all of our stuff that we'd have to find a place during this time.

I managed to get them to agree to give me until July 1st (when our original lease is up) to let me find our own renters to take our place in December. I know alot of you guys have been to our house and know how sweet of a deal it is; on the dead end right on the park, huge garage, nice yard, quiet neighboorhood close to just about everything. Its pretty ideal and I was super hesitant to even move because I loved living there so much (not to mention its super cheap). So what I'm asking for is to get the word out for us. We would need someone to commit to moving in to our house December 1st of this year, before July 1st. If you have ANY questions please don't hesitate to ask me, I can lay out all the expenses for you, everything. So we need your help guys, we would GREATLY appreciate anything you can do. Thanks.
